Miracles
Miracles do not happen in contradiction to nature, but only to that which is known to us in nature
St Augustine
The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and science. Whoever does not know it can np longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are dimmed.
Albert Einstein
"For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who disbelieve, no amount of proof is sufficient." ~ Dom Inacio de Loyola
Miracles Joao de Deus is one man performing miracles to heal others, and he reminds us of Jesus' words: "Like me, and more, you will perform miracles."
To witness this man's healing presents a luminous opportunity to witness a Divine Maestro in motion. He not only defies the Western medicine model, but reminds us that it is entirely natural to perform what we think of as miracles. Most of us realize, after all, that we are godlike beings, and Joao inspires us to use our potential to manifest that beingness.
Originally, the word miracle signified "an extraordinary thing, a thing admirable to see." Over time, it came to be understood as "an act of divine power contrary to the common laws of nature." Perhaps healing miracles are not yet part of our daily existence, but Joao presents them as an entirely natural order of things. Spirit-beings performing healings through him are clearly the result of higher laws, even though we do not fully understand them. He not only greatly expands our ordinary view of things, but inspires us to find our own "miracles."
Joao's Mission
I wasn't the one who chose my mission. It was God who entrusted me, and I will fulfill it until the end. I don't heal anyone; the one who heals is God. He is the way and the truth and everywhere; this Supreme Being is present for those who ask. -Joao Teixeira de Faria
