A. If you use normal water the conductivity is too great and the particles become bigger and therefore harder to absorb and therefore it is not so effective. It is advised to use distilled water as it is the purest available.

Q. I am having some problems with my CS generator. If I put a new battery in the unit, it generates CS in distilled water. With a used battery it generates CS in tap or bottled water but not in distilled water. Heating the distilled water solves the problem but it would be very inconvenient if I had to heat the water every time and I am sure the unit was not produced with that idea in mind. What suggestions can you offer?

A. Tap water is very easy to produce CS water as it is very conductive but the particles are too big and not so easily absorbed. Distilled water does need to be heated otherwise there is not enough conductivity there. To get around this problem I will add a teaspoon of tap water to the distilled water to make it slightly more conductive. The less conductive and the slower the bubbles/smoke the smaller they are and therefore easier to absorb.

Q. Can my silver maker be used to make colloidal gold? If so, is it simply a question of using gold electrodes rather than silver ones or is it more complicated?

A. In theory if you got some gold rods it should work. the 9v battery is amplified in the unit up to 24v and if this is the correct voltage required to make CSG yes it will work. The only real way to check is to buy some rods and see. The purer the better.

Q. I'm interested in buying a colloidal silver maker. Can you tell me how long the rods last, i.e. how many oz's/mls can I make before they need replacing.

A. They make gallons and gallons...how much no one has ever sat down to work out.

Q. So, how do you know when the rods need replacing?

A. When the silver goes into the water it slowly will make one rod shorter than the other, you can change them over and it will then start coming of that rod. Over years the rods will become 8cm then 7cm, 6cm etc. when they are too short to go into the water then they need replacing. I don't know anyone as yet who has used them so much that they have had to replace them. We do sell the extra rods and people like to buy a spare just in case. Some take them abroad for example and want to always have a spare pair.
