Earthing Leads
All internal surfaces covered with the screening paint should be earthed. This is to prevent the paint picking up and re-radiating electric fields from the house wiring. These can make some people feel quite ill with symptoms of electrical hypersensitivity.
The earthing leads we supply consist of a square of copper foil with a conductive glue backing. A 2 metre length of thin wire is soldered and glued onto the copper foil. The other end is stripped of its plastic covering. We also supply a 5 cm square of aluminium foil tape to cover the copper foil when it is in place. This reduces the likelihood of its being pulled away from the wall.
When using the black shielding paint- does each wall have to be earthed or is one earth per room ok ?
One earth per painted surface, so if all the walls within the room are connected (eg no gaps in the paint) then one earth in that room is fine.
